Planning Commission
The Vernonia Planning Commission recommends to the City Council changes to Vernonia's Land Use and Development Code regulating the future growth and development of the City; and hears a wide range of land use applications including property partitions, variances, new residential, commercial and industrial construction, subdivisions, and zone changes.
Planning Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor, with consent of Council. Of the five members, four members shall be residents of the City and one member may be appointed at large. If a position on the Planning Commission is vacated and remains open for more than three months, individuals within five miles of the city limits may complete the term.
Planning Commission Meetings
Planning Commission meetings are held at 7:00pm on the first and third Thursday of the month at Vernonia City Hall.
