Elections
Mayor and Council positions are non-partisan and placed before the voters at biennial general elections held in November of even numbered years.
The Mayor position is nominated at large and serves a two-year term. Council Members are nominated at-large and serve a four-year term.
A qualified candidate is at least 18 years of age, a registered voter in the State of Oregon, and a current, legal resident of the City of Vernonia continuously during the 12 months immediately preceding an election.

The Vernonia area ballot box is located at the Vernonia Library.
2020 Elections
General Election will be held on the 5th day of November 2024, at which time the legal voters of the City of Vernonia will be entitled to vote for candidates for the following City offices.
