Surplus Vehicle for Sale

The City of Vernonia is preparing to sell a 1999 Ford F350 Chassis Cab by sealed bid to the highest qualified bidder. The minimum bid price is $7,500. To obtain additional information, contact Vernonia City Hall at cityhall@vernonia-or.gov.

To submit a bid, complete the Surplus Property Bid Document and email it to cityhall@vernonia-or.gov or drop off at City Hall. Sealed bids must be received by 3:00 PM on Friday, June 9th, 2023. Bidders are responsible to submit bids at the designated time and location to be considered a responsive bidder.

Submittal of the Surplus Property Purchase Request Form represents a commitment to purchase the designated items from the City of Vernonia. A deposit is not required. Full payment must be received within 10 days after the City has notified the successful bidder. The City will accept cash, money orders, cashier’s checks, and certified checks. Any other form of payment must be approved by the Finance Department in advance of payment.

In the event that more than one individual makes an offer of the identical amount, the winning bids will be determined by random drawing. In the event no bids are received for all or a portion of the advertised property, the City may negotiate with a buyer or the City may rebid the surplus property. The City may reject any bid not in compliance with all bid requirements. The City may reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

Removal of the items is the responsibility of the successful bidder and must be completed within ten days of payment. All property is offered for sale “AS- IS, WITH NO GUARANTEE”.
