Notice of Public Hearing - Completion of the Rose Avenue Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Vernonia City Council, will conduct a public hearing to complete the Rose Avenue Project.

Where: Council Chambers, City of Vernonia, 1001 Bridge Street, Vernonia, OR 97064
Why: CDBG Closeout Public Hearing
SAID PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the City Council on Monday, Dec. 07, 2020 at or after 7:00 pm, at which time proponents and opponents of this action will be heard. Directions on how to attend this meeting will be posted on the City of Vernonia website on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020.
The City of Vernonia is completing the Rose Avenue Project funded with Community Development Block Grant funds from the Oregon Business Development Department. The location of the project is 547 Weed Avenue, Vernonia, OR 97064. It is estimated that the project has benefitted at least 500 persons of whom 35% are low or moderate income.
The purpose of the hearing is for the City Council to obtain citizen views about the project and to take comments about the local government’s performance. Written comments are also welcome and must be received by Dec. 4th, 2020 at 1001 Bridge Street. Both oral and written comments will be received by the Vernonia City Council.
More information about the Oregon Community Development Block Grant program and the project is available for public review at City Hall during regular office hours. Advance notice is requested.
