Vernonia Lake Fishing Reopens Tomorrow

Vernonia City Council held a teleconference meeting on Monday, May 18th, 2020 where they discussed the fishing closure at Vernonia Lake. At the meeting, the City Council decided to open the public restrooms at the Lake and to allow fishing to reopen. To limit the public’s exposure to potential COVID-19 touchpoints, they decided to keep the two fishing docks closed. As the county approaches the next phase of reopening, this closure will be reevaluated. This opening goes into effect at dawn on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020.
