Historic Vernonia Eagle Newspaper Now Available Online

Through the Vernonia Public Library’s Newspaper Project, some issues of the Vernonia Eagle are now accessible online! Access Vernonia’s newspaper collection through the Historic Oregon Newspaper website. At present, you can access the Vernonia Eagle (1922-1928, 1939-1945, 1953-1957), the Independent (2003-2012), and the Vernonia’s Voice (2007-Current). On the website, you can click “Titles” or “Locations” to view Vernonia’s newspapers.

This is an ongoing project and more issues will be available as we have funding and volunteer / staff time to process the newspapers. Coming soon will be the Vernonia Eagle 1946-1952.
