MANDATORY WATER CURTAILMENT MEASURES

To all Vernonia Bulk Water Customers

Due to low stream flow on Rock Creek at 10 cubic feet per second (cfs) or less, the City of Vernonia has declared a “Level 3 concern” to avoid depleting the city’s water supply to the extent that it would be insufficient for human consumption, sanitation, fire protection or aquatic life.

When the stream flow on Rock Creek decreases to 8cfs or below, the City of Vernonia will declare the 4th level of concern. This level requires bulk water sales to be suspended until stream flow increases above 8cfs.

As of 9/5/2019 at 3:00pm mean daily stream flow is: 8.87 cfs

As of 9/5/2019 at 3:00pm instantaneous stream flow is: 8.23 cfs
